Re: Concerns Re:- Lindsay Byron

Thanks Stoo, I am glad Lindsay is on the mend. The initial rumours where quite concerning. Lindsay is an slot car icon. I remember seeing Lindsay at just about every National event I went to since the 70's. Ironically I always thought he was a Victorian until recently....weird. :?: regards...

Re: Approved Bodies List for 2019

Hi Steve,

I note that the Retro bodies I have bought from James are NOT on any approved list !!

But I assume bodies sold by James will not be a problem.

How the hell can anyone tell the difference between the 47 different types of Ti22 bodies?

Re: NSW Retro Titles Round 2 (BTR) 24/11/2018

Maybe points could be awarded each race, accumulating in an "Old Fart" trophy at the end of the year. I should get one point for turning up for tonight's race last Friday. I believe Casey did the same thing and he's not even a qualified senior yet! In think we need some rules on what const...

Re: New DiFalco Genesis 2

Hi Stoo,

I noticed that thread this morning as well. Nice job.

Yeah TO-3 packaged transistors are becoming rarer and more expensive. Looks like there are 2 plastic packaged transistors in parallel.

Re: Race Report. SRC Round 7 SSME

Hi guys, My understanding is the SRC series adopted James's existing GP1 rules. I don't really know why, but I assume it was for convenience. :?: I would guess, James's GP1 rules were written for his club racing and other state and National events and were intended as a cheap, base entry class. I ca...

Re: Race Report. SRC Round 7 SSME

Let's not turn this into a storm in a tea cup. The situation was handled properly on the night. Problem found, a few discussions, a solution found! :D What we should be talking about is the race. I have never seen two guys as pumped at the end of a race as Troy and Richard were. It was good ...

Hope it was a good crowd and the racing Great !!!! Stoo, 2 ticks. 2 full fields, plus byes, in both Retro and GP1, even though there was at least four regulars missing. Epic finish in GP1 between Troy and Richard, Troy by a foot! Track and sausage sandwiches were great thanks to the SSME Team. Lots...

Re: SRC Round 4 Hornsby

Once he learns to slow down he will do 190 laps That would be some effort - assuming getting across the line for a 'Bell' Lap - the remaining 189 laps equates to an average across ALL lanes of 5.08 sec a lap! That would be some effort ;) You guys must be physic! Cody cruising round doing 4.7'...

Re: Race Report - SRC 2018 Round 4 - HSC

Hi Neil,

I think the main difference was if the GT1 had front wheels or not! I am not sure who's car was what.

It was James scales.

I have started my GT1.

Re: Race Report - SRC 2018 Round 4 - HSC

Thanks Neil, I am preparing a standard X24, same a John Little's. Should be good enough to learn how to drive again. I did note that the X24 is longer than the Aeolos. Has anyone measured the guide to rear axle lengths of the other chassis? How different is the X25 to the X24? I can see th...
