Re: HSC 2019 Retro Nat's Race Report & Pics

Good report Stoo, and piccies Mark. Thanks for a fun night, with good group of guys, and to James, Joe and Greg for putting me back on the track all the time. Special thanks to DT Racing for loaning me 2 great cars. I didn't do them justice, but I was happy with my rusty outcome. Thanks Darryl. Look...

I don't have any slot car related reasons for not attending.
My personal situation (as mentioned elsewhere) is preventing me.

That's true.

Re: HSC 2019 Retro Series Rnd 5 - STR 08/06/2019

Where were All the Other people and infrequent racers ?? Good question Stoo. I'm one of those, and seeing as you asked.... My intention late last year was to run as much Retro as I could this year. My slot car hobby focus has shifted sideways a bit, in that I want to keep scratch building chassis, ...

Re: HSC 2019 Retro Series Rnd 3 - STR 06/04/2019

Good report as usual Stoo, and thanks for the kind words. It was an enjoyable night with good guys playing with our toy cars. I caught myself out with the F1 by not checking the rear tyres, and needing to throw a new pair on. Should have been ok, but I didn't notice untill after about the 3rd bracke...

Re: Australian Slot Car Publications

I've been slowly tinkering away at this project and have finally scanned all 13 issues of Australian Slot Car Review, with 3 being formatted and uploaded.

Australian Slot Car Magazines

More will be uploaded as I get time.

Many thanks to Tony Anderson for providing the magazines for scanning.

Thanks as usual Mark, for the report and piccies.

It was great to be back on the track with a good group, and friendly racing.

Also, thanks to James, Joe and Greg marshalling.

Re: Approved Bodies List for 2019

I had a chat with James at HSC tonight, and the approved body lists on the HSC website are the ones to be used for all HSC events. James did agree that there is no list for Coupes, and I asked about there being no Parma bodies listed in the HSC Can-Am or F1 regs, although he is selling them, and tha...

Re: Drivers have your say

Brad, I agree, usually the 'best' racers usually prevail. Those guys who do all the testing, adjusting, and re-testing seem to have all the luck, eh!! I like the handout motor idea, and have participated in a few races where the motors were very even overall. Some start off a bit slower than others,...

Re: Drivers have your say

Seeing as I needed a sit down for a rest, I thought I'd re-read this thread to see if my thoughts had changed, and the only thing that came to mind, is to suggest 'hand out' motors for enduro's and major events. Also, seeing as James (or any SSME guys) have not chipped in, has any of this discussion...

Re: Approved Bodies List for 2019

Please don't turn this thread into a Ti22 debate. Or any other body type for that matter. That was not the intent of it. We just need a workable Approved Body list for HSC events. Neil, I agree that there are many bodies listed, that are no longer available. That list was compiled more than 10 years...
